Cairo – Mubasher: Kahira Pharmaceuticals reported an increase in its profits for the fourth quarter and the fiscal year 2015/16, according to a bourse filing.
Net profits for the fourth quarter rose by 65% year-over-year to EGP 19.86 million ($2.23 million) from EGP 12.39 million ($1.39 million) for the year-ago period, according to a bourse filing.
Annually, the company registered EGP 52.8 million profits for the fiscal year 2015/16, compared to EGP 43.3 million profits registered a year earlier.
In June 2016, the drug firm’s profits reached EGP 6.2 million ($696,000), compared with EGP 1.8 million ($202,000) for the year-ago month.
Over the first eleven months, net profits before taxes stood at EGP 55.6 million ($6.24 million), higher 4% year-over-year from EGP 53.5 million ($6.99 million) registered during the year-ago period.
