Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's National Transformation Plan (NTP) for the post-oil era lends significant attention to the commercial and industrial sectors in the Kingdom, said minister of trade and industry Tawfiq Al Rabiah on Monday.
He highlighted the role played by the Council for Economic and Developmental Affairs, headed by deputy crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, in setting the foundations of the largest developmental scheme in Saudi Arabia's history.
The "2030 Vision" aims to raise the Kingdom's gross domestic product (GDP), boost top Saudi firms to become major global players, and develop small and medium-sized companies, which makes it the best investment for the Saudi economy, according to the minister.
Focusing on the development of local industries will bring in significant returns for the Saudi economy, he added, pinpointing that the ministry will work on eradicating all obstacles that hinder providing an attractive and promising industrial environment.
