€62m from EU to support development projects in Egypt

Cairo-Mubasher: Egyptian International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr signed two EU financing agreements worth 62 million euros.

The first agreement worth 32 million euros is to support Kafr El Sheikh wastewater expansion programme.

The second agreement is to expand access to education and protection of children at risk, through which 30 million euros were offered by the EU and 6.15 million euros by UNICEF that would execute the project in cooperation with the Education Ministry and the NCCM.

The last project comes as part of efforts by the Egyptian government to root out the phenomenon of school dropouts.
