Mubasher: The Barakah nuclear energy project in Abu Dhabi saw more than 1,500 local companies being awarded contracts worth a total of AED 14 billion.
Companies such as Emirates Steel, National Cement, Dubai Cable Company, National Marine Dredging Company, Western Bainoona Group, and Hilalco, are all working on the power plant, as reported by Construction Week, citing Nawah Energy Company.
“New contracts with ENEC and its subsidiaries created opportunities to broaden their customer base by entering the international market for supplying goods and services to the global nuclear industry,” the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) said in a statement.
