Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity has submitted the list of companies bidding to take part in Al-Dabaa nuclear powr plant to Russia’s Rosatom.
Among the companies bidding for the project are Alsewedy Electric, Orascom Construction, The Arab Contractors, Hassan Allam Holding, and Petrojet, according to Al-Mal newspaper.
Egyptian companies will likely be responsible for around 20% of the total volume of the project, at a minimum of $4 billion in investments, the newspaper added.
In December, Egypt’s President AbdelFattah El-Sisi and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin signed an agreement to execute the Dabaa nuclear power plant.
Rosatom also said at the time that the power plant will cost around $21 billion to build.
Report show that the project will bring in net returns of $264 billion over 60 years.
