Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The average prices of 12 building materials saw a decline in January in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi, compared to December 2016, according to a statement by the Statistics Center Abu Dhabi (SCAD) on Thursday.
The rise in prices ranged between 0.6% for the electric cables’ sector and 7.2% for diesel fuel, while the average prices of wires for small buildings and (PVC) pipes’ group increased by 2.7% and 2.3%, respectively, according to the release.
During January, the average prices of “wires for apartments” went down by 0.9%, and “employment” decreased by 13.1% compared to December 2016.
The steel segment’s prices fell 3.2% and waterproofing products by 6.4%, SCAD revealed.
