Cairo – Mubasher: Thirteen new industrial complexes are being designed and built, including nine complexes in Upper Egypt, with nearly 4,500 units, the Egyptian trade minister said on Sunday.
The ministry plans to boost industrial growth rates to 8% by 2020, Amr Nassar added in a press conference.
The minister indicated that the ministry has expanded in the specialised industrial complexes, such as El Roubiki Leather Complex in Badr city and the furniture city in Damietta.
He said that an industrial city for manufacturing textile is being established, in addition to Kom Oshim city in Fayoum.
These complexes aim at attracting foreign investments and exchange expertise in these industries, Nassar noted.
