2 senior officials leave Abraaj Group

Dubai – Mubasher: Two senior executives have resigned from Abraaj Group, a Dubai-based private-equity firm, amid allegations concerning the misusage of money in the investment group.

The resigned officials are chief financial officer of Abraaj’s private-equity unit Bisher Barazi and the group’s chief operating officer Matthew McGuire, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The Dubai-based group witnessed a variety of problems over money misuse and irregularities at its $1 billion healthcare fund.

Barazi and McGuire were appointed in February, the American newspaper revealed.
