Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index grew 43.17 points, or 0.95%, to close at 4,560.03 points in a week, pushed up by the telecommunication, real estate, and banks sectors.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, added 2.79% each, while the banks sector increased by 0.33%, as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) rose 0.82%.
On the flip side, the energy sector went down 0.49% after Dana Gas shed 1.92%.
The ADX saw a fluctuation trend during the week ended 5 July, but blue chips rose, boosting the general index, technical analyst Gamal Agag told Mubasher.
Reports about Abraaj Group’s crisis are still affecting the ADX, Agag added.
