4 sectors boost QSE early Thursday

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading in the green, encouraged by the growth of four sectors.

By 09:48 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 0.13% to 10,775.83 points, adding 14.04 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 21.6 million after 845,100 shares traded through 730 transactions.

The transportation sector topped gainers with 1.39% as Qatar Gas Transport (Nakilat) and Gulf Warehousing rose 2.55% and 2.06%, respectively.

Similarly, the industrial sector levelled up 0.31% on the back of Aamal Company’s 1.58% increase.

On the other hand, the banking sector headed decliners falling 0.11% after Al Khalij Commercial Bank fell 1.01%.

Gulf Warehousing’s stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 5.9 million, while QAMCO’s stock, which went down 0.49%, posted the highest trading volume with 205,200 shares.
