6 sectors push up QSE at Sunday’s close

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Sunday with a slight growth after its benchmark rose 5.88 points, or 0.06%, to 10,604.28 points, boosted by the rise of six sectors

The QSE’s trading volume stood at 6.7 million shares, down from 10.4 million on Thursday, while liquidity amounted to QAR 108.2 million, down from QAR 219.3 million.

The real estate sector increased 1.09% as Ezdan Holding Group’s stock grew 1.49%, while the industrials sector inched up 0.11% after Investment Holding Group’s stock levelled up 1.49%.

On the flipside, the banking sector decreased 0.20% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock shed 0.15%.

Qatari German for Medical Devices’ (QG Medical) stock topped the QSE’s gainers after jumping 6.65%, while the stock of Qatar National Cement was the worst performer after losing 1.38%.

Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, which added 3.61%, led the bourse in terms of trading volume after 1.9 million shares were exchanged, while QNB’s stock generated the highest liquidity with QAR 9.3 million.
