Mubasher: Kuwaiti Public Institution For Social Security (PIFSS) said that around 90,000 citizens obtained more than KWD 826 million funds over the previous years after replacing part of their pension with interest-free loans.
About 78% of who benefited from these funds are retired, while the rest are workers, according to Al-Qabas newspaper.
Some informed sources expected that National Assembly and banks may approve a new policy to finance citizens who seek loans over the coming period.
Upon the approval of the new policy, loans will be guaranteed by PIFSS.
