Cairo – Mubasher: The sales of 92-octane gasoline declined 10% in July 2017, the chairman of Misr Petroleum Company Mohamed Shaban told Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper on Sunday.
The demand for 95-octane gasoline hiked 400% due to the increase in the price of petroleum products, Shaban added.
The firm sells and distributes 1.8 million litres of 92-octane gasoline per day, compared to 2 million litres before the change in prices.
Misr Petroleum acquires a third of the petroleum products market share, he said, noting that the company’s target is to increase its sales of petroleum to EGP 38 billion during fiscal year 2017/2018, compared to EGP 33 billion in FY16/17.
