Mubasher: Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) has denied what was reported on its plan to participate in the privatisation of Boursa Kuwait, according to a bourse statement on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Al Qabas Newspaper reported according to sources that the number of local companies which showed interest in the auction of privatising Boursa Kuwait increased to eight, including two banks.
The sources named the companies as ABK, the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), National Investments, and Kuwait Investments, Al Qabas added.
At the stock level, ABK closed Wednesday’s session 8.97% higher at 340 fils.
