Riyadh – Mubasher: A consortium led by ACWA Power has been awarded a contract to develop and operate a 170-megawatt (MW) photovoltaic (PV) facility in Morocco, according to a statement.
The NOOR PV I project consists of NOOR Ouarzazate IV with a capacity of around 70 MW, NOOR Laayoune with 80 MW and NOOR Boujdour with 20 MW.
The Saudi firm submitted the lowest tariff price for the project at 4.6 MADc/kWh.
Construction of the project will begin in the first quarter of 2017 and is likely to take 12 months to be completed.
