Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations (ADCO) has called on construction companies to bid for a contract for the preparation, construction, and engineering works at its Bab oilfield.
ADCO has set the closing date for receiving bids to 18 August, Al Khaleej newspaper reported, noting that the first round for bids ended on 18 June.
The project aims to develop the Bab oilfield so that it would raise its production to 450,000 barrels per day.
Located in the southwest region of Abu Dhabi, the Bab oilfield covers an area of 1,200 square kilometres.
ADCO is currently looking to bolster output at its Bab development by 7.5% by 2020.
