ADI marks 16 month-low at Tuesday's open

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index lost 1.68% or 76 points to 4,506 points on Tuesday, which its lowest level in 16 months, after twenty minutes of trading.

The ADX was affected by the corrective trends carried out in in the US markets on Friday. 

About 88 million shares were traded in the market, with a turnover of AED 90 million through 410 transactions.

RAKBank was the ADX's sole riser gaining 0.2% or 4.67 points after 414,000 shares were traded.

Gulf Medical Projects topped the market’s losers, dropping 9.94%, while Agthia tumbled 7%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Dana Gas, Aldar Properties, and Etisalat levelled down 1.8%, 2.6%, 3.1%, and 1.7%, respectively.
