ADIB – Egypt stock slides 6.5% after news of CEO death

Cairo – Mubasher: The stocks of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB) went down by 6.5% after news of the death of the bank’s CEO, Nevine Loutfy.

Egyptian police arrested on Wednesday the suspected killer of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) CEO Nevine Loutfy, one day after she was found murdered inside her house in 6 October.

The Egyptian Exchange decided to suspend trading on the ADIB’s stocks following the news last Tuesday.

Loutfy had extensive finance experience gained in the US, Europe and emerging markets, with primary areas of expertise in local corporate and SME business management, in addition to credit risk and capital management.
