ADIB Egypt’s H1 profit jumps 74%

Cairo – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt (ADIB Egypt) reported a 74.1% year-on-year profit growth during the first half of 2019, according to the bank’s consolidated financial results.

The lender logged a net profit of EGP 658.6 million in the six-month period ended 30 June, compared to EGP 378.2 million in the year-ago period, according to a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Thursday.

As for standalone business, ADIB Egypt’s profits surged to EGP 601.2 million in H1-19 from EGP 368.46 million in H1-18.

For the full-year 2018, the bank achieved a profit of EGP 850.23 million, compared to EGP 631.5 million in the prior year.
