ADNOC, Morocco’s OCP ink long-term sales deal

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Moroccan OCP Group on Wednesday announced the signing of a long-term sales agreement.

Under the agreement, ADNOC will steadily supply OCP with granulated sulphur until 2025, according to a company statement.

Both parties agreed to consider a gradual increase in the contracted annual volumes, ADNOC added.

“This landmark agreement strengthens ADNOC’s position as one of the world’s largest exporters of sulphur,” said Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, Marketing, Sales and Trading Director at ADNOC.
ADNOC and OCP cooperate in several operations, enabling both companies to explore various opportunities for a larger collaboration.

“OCP has initiated the largest investment program in the fertiliser industry with the objective of doubling its mining capacity and tripling its fertiliser capacity,” Mustapha El Ouafi, Managing Director at OCP, commented.

ADNOC exported over 2 million metric tons of granulated sulphur to Morocco in 2016.
