Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced on Tuesday that it will adopt a series of measures to increase energy efficiency by 10% by 2020, according to a statement.
The energy efficiency strategy will reduce the company’s gas consumption by 156 million cubic feet per day, saving a total of $1 billion by the year 2020.
ADNOC also said that its initiatives have helped cut CO2 emissions by 3.1 million tonnes every year, which is the equivalent of 658,800 car rides.
ADNOC will optimise energy usage, consumption and performance across a range of activities, and will upgrade systems to measure and record data for better energy planning, the statement added.
