UAE - Mubasher: ADQ has set its first Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policy to support its commitment as a sustainable investor to accelerate value creation.
The new policy will apply ESG principles across ADQ and encourage portfolio companies to prioritise sustainable businesses that create value and have a positive impact on people, society, and the environment, according to a press release on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, ADQ seeks to focus on sectors aiming to promote clean technology and other environmentally friendly efforts.
The CEO at ADQ, Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, commented: "As part of our mandate to create value for our strategic partner and shareholder, the Abu Dhabi Government, we are committed to being a sustainable investor for the benefit of future generations."
