ADX achieves highest gains in 3M

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed in the green for the second session in a row on Thursday, backed by the semi-collective rise of most sectors led by the real estate and banks sectors.

The general index reached 4,148.29 at close, gaining 83.15 or 2.05%; the highest level in more than three months.

The UAE markets are expected to continue their upward trend after the US Federal Reserve raised interest rates for first time since 2006, analysts earlier told Mubasher.

Turnover reached AED 201 million on Thursday, compared to AED 198.76 million on Wednesday.

The real estate sector went up 3.56%, backed by Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties which increased 4.07% and 1.92%, respectively.

The banks sector levelled up 2.9% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and National Bank of Abu Dhabi rose 2.76% and 1.30% in a row.

The energy sector grew 1.88% after TAQA topped gainers after jumping 9.52%.
