ADX adds 49 pts at Monday’s close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Monday in the green after its main index jumped 1.12% or 48.64 points to 4,397.38 points, registering its highest level in 27 trading sessions.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank’s (ADBC) stock saw trading of 7.6 million shares, generating AED 51.61 million. 

The ADX’s traded volume stood at 74.77 million shares, through 1,557 transactions, with a liquidity of AED 226.56 million.

National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain’s (NBQ) stock levelled up 7.14%, whereas National Takaful Company’s (Watania) slid 10%.

The telecommunication sector rose 2.34% as Emirates Telecommunications Group’s (Etisalat) stock increased 2.34%. 

On the other hand, the services sector decreased 2.93% after The Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company’s (ADNH) stock fell 6.9% and Abu Dhabi Ship Building’s (ADSB) tumbled 5.21%.

The consumer staples sector lost 2.88% as the stocks of Agthia Group and International Holdings Company went down 3.42% and 3.33%, respectively.

The banks sector grew 1.19% after First Abu Dhabi Bank’s (FAB) stock levelled up 1.47% and ADBC’s stock inched up 0.73%.

The energy sector edged down 0.61% as Abu Dhabi National Energy’s (TAQA) stock dropped 3.33%.
