ADX adds 50 pts at Wednesday’s close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) main index closed Wednesday in the green after growing 1.15%, or 49.59 points, to 4,369.40 points, registering its highest level since seven sessions.

The ADX’s trading volume stood at 99.20 million shares on Wednesday, against 73.64 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity soared to AED 252.727 million, from AED 90.65 million.

The energy sector rose 2.24% as Dana Gas’ stock increased 2.60%, while the banks sector grew 1.22% after the stocks of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) went up 1.80% and 1.48%, respectively.

The investment and financial services sector levelled up 2.55% as Waha Capital’s stock gained 2.55% while the real estate sector inched up 0.89%.

FAB’s stock was the most active in terms of the trading value with AED 115.430 million, while Dana Gas' stock led the market in terms of traded volume after 37.19 million shares were exchanged.
