Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Thursday, the last trading session in the week, on a high note, breaking three straight sessions of declines.
The general index grew 0.96%, adding 46.30 points and closing at 4,876.68 points. Turnover amounted to AED 411.258 million after 183.789 million shares changed hands through 1,783 transactions.
The banks sector increased 1.78%, bolstering the index, after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) gained 2.47% and 1.12%, respectively.
The energy sector added 1.38% after ADNOC Distribution rose 2.22%, while real estate sector was up 0.60% after Aldar Properties levelled up 1.28%.
On the other hand, the telecom sector and its sole stock Etisalat declined 0.82% each.
FAB was the most active in terms of turnover with AED 38.103 million, while Wahat Al Zaweya’s stock registered the highest traded volume with 12.06 million shares exchanged.
