ADX bucks downtrend at close

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed in the green on Thursday, spurred by a semi collective rise of sectors amid lower liquidity.

The general index gained 1.22% or 52.35 points to reach 4,351.70 points.

Trading volume reached 73.79 million shares on Thursday, compared to 73.79 million shares on Wednesday.

Turnover shrank to AED 138.42 million from AED 201.805 million.

The banks sector increased 1.63% as National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) grew 2.53% and 1.30% in a row.

The real estate sector levelled up 1.54% after Aldar Properties grew 1.85%.

The telecom sector indicated 0.83% higher, drawing support from 0.83% stronger Etisalat.
