Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) suffered losses on Wednesday, on the back of increased sales in six sectors led by the real estate and telecom.
The main index fell 0.24% or 10.33 points to reach 4,363.55 points.
The real estate sector led losers after declining 0.92% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties slid 2.5% and 0.8% respectively.
ADX was negatively affected by sales of blue chips as traders tended to liquidate their stocks and exchange positions, according to economic analyst Nawaf Al-Ajmi.
The energy sector topped gainers after adding 2.24% as TAQA went up 10.34%.
Turnover reached AED 105.15 million after trading 53.07 million shares through 993 transactions.
The market is expected to continue its fluctuations, Al-Ajmi noted, adding that stability of the main index above 4,360 points will ease pressures.
