ADX closes Monday down; market cap gains AED 1.18bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Monday's trading session at 4,238.51 points, down 0.41% or 17.27 points, maintaining its downward performance on Sunday, 19 July.

Turnover totalled AED 157.90 million after 75.96 million shares had been traded through 1,839 transactions.

However, the market cap value increased by AED 1.18 billion to AED 595.97 billion, compared to AED 594.79 billion during the previous session.

The banks segment led the decliners with 1.21%, while the real estate sector came on top of the risers with 1.65%.

Sharjah Insurance topped the losing stocks with 4.9%, while National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah (RAKBANK) headed the rising stocks with 4.72%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) recorded the highest turnover of AED 37.15 million, while Dana Gas, up 3.95%, posted the highest trading volume of 28.06 million shares.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) led the losing blue chips with 1.28%.
