ADX closes Monday in green, adding 40 pts

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) increased by 0.84% or 39.66 points on Monday to close at 4,763.48 points, after falling on Sunday to it lowest level in nine months.

A total of 41.74 million shares were exchanged through 2,720 transactions at a value of AED 179.89 million.

The energy sector headed the winners with 3.46%, while the telecom segment led the losers with 1.96%.

At the same time, Dana Gas led the green zone with 6.12%, while Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) came on top of the red zone with a 4.74% decline.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) registered the highest turnover of AED 48.87 million, while Aldar Properties was the most actively traded stock with 11.58 million shares.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) led the rising blue chips with 4.62%.
