ADX closes Monday lower

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Monday for the third successive session, amid volatile trading.

The general index grew 0.8% or 16.98 points to reach 4,466.64 points.

Trading volume reached 88.75 million shares on Monday, compared to 71.02 million shares on Sunday. Turnover amounted to AED 136.98 million, compared to AED 139.30 million.

The energy sector topped gainers with a 5.86% rise, backed by TAQA and Dana Gas which added 9.6% and 4.65%, respectively.

The real estate sector climbed 2.01% after Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties levelled up 2.23% and 1.89%, respectively.

The telecom sector advanced 0.84% as Etisalat added 0.84%.

On the other hand, the investment sector fell 2.88% as Waha Capital declined 3.06%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank was the value leader after generating AED 42.73 million from the exchange of 29.24 million shares.
