Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bearish performance on Monday, dragged down by the fall of four sectors led by banks.
The general index retreated 0.66% or 29.21 points to reach 4,414.45 points.
The banks sector led losers with a 1.74% decline as National Bank of Fujairah (NBF), First Abu Dhabi Bank, Sharjah Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), and RAK Bank sank 8.81%, 2.38%, 2.38%, 1.68%, and 0.23%, respectively.
The services sector fell 0.92% as Abu Dhabi Aviation Co declined 6.15%.
The investment sector retreated 0.52% after SHUAA Capital sank 0.58%. The insurance sector levelled down 0.03% as Methaq lost 1.16%.
Turnover amounted to AED 233.18 million on Monday, compared to AED 116.48 million on Sunday. Trading volume reached 216.6 million shares, compared to 104.47 million shares.
Dana Gas was the value leader after generating AED 85.7 million from the exchange of 124.5 million shares.
