ADX closes Monday's session on positive note

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) gained 46.48 points or 1.26% to settle at 3,722.94 points by the end of Monday's trading session, unlike its negative performance on Sunday, 5 April.

The market cap value increased by AED 4.57 billion to AED 410.59 billion, compared to AED 406.02 billion during the previous session.

A total of around 90.03 million shares were traded at a value of AED 199.29 million through 2,993 transactions. 

Regarding the sectors, the energy came on top of the gainers with 2.36%, followed by the real esate, banks, and telecom sectors with 2.20%, 1.62%, and 0.72%, respectively. 

 Al Qudra Holding led the risers with 13.64%, while Methaq Takaful Insurance topped the decliners with 5%.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) recorded the highest turnover of AED 42.94 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock with 29.17 million shares.

In the meantime, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) increased by 5.26%, while Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) retreated by 4.98%.
