ADX closes Sunday on marginal losses

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) inched down 0.05% or two points to settle at 4,065.03 points by the end of Sunday's trading session, reversing the upward performance on Thursday, 14 May.

The market cap value amounted to AED 454.16 billion, down AED 10 million from AED 454.26 billion during the previous session.

Turnover amounted to AED 73.74 million after nearly 20.04 million shares had been traded through 1,185 transactions.

The telecommunications sector led the decliners with 0.26%.

Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar) headed the red zone with 5%, while Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC) came on top of the green zone with 3.39%.

Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat), down 0.26%, recorded the highest turnover of AED 19.87 million, while Aldar Properties posted the highest trading volume of 5.45 million shares.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) headed the rising blue chips with 0.92%.
