ADX closes Thursday higher as banks, energy gain

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Thursday, the last trading session of the week, in the green, backed by the rise in the energy and banks sectors.

The general index added 0.20% or 9.30 points and closed at 4,603.20 points. Turnover amounted to AED 43.53 million after 28.42 million shares changed hands.

The energy sector increased 0.84% after Dana Gas went up 0.99%, while the banks sector grew 0.55% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) gained 0.82%.

On the other hand, the telecom sector and its stock Etisalat declined 0.60% each, while the real estate sector shed 0.34% on the back of Aldar Properties' 0.97% loss.
