ADX closes Thursday higher

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance for the third successive session on Thursday, backed by the gains of banks and telecom stocks.

The general index reached 4,518.07 points after gaining 108.5 points.

Trading volume reached 82.02 million shares on Thursday, compared to 78.29 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 252.32 million, compared to AED 153.65 million.

First Abu Dhabi Bank was the value leader after generating AED 120.88 million, pushing the banks sector to rise 3.94%.

The telecom sector added 2.54% after Etisalat levelled up 2.54%.

The real estate sector was the top gainer with a 0.19% growth as RAK Properties and Aldar Properties went up 1.54% and 0.43%, respectively.

Abu Dhabi Aviation topped gainers with a 14.75% rise, while Bildco led losers after falling 9.4%.
