ADX closes Thursday with marginal losses

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) inched up 0.03% or 1.12 points to 4,261.06 points by the end of Thursday's trading session, reversing its upward performance on Wednesday, 22 July.

Turnover amounted to AED 100.03 million, as 38.79 million shares were exchanged through 1,236 transactions.

The real estate sector led the decliners with 1.13%, while the energy segment came on top of the winners with 1.68%.

Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) headed the red zone with 4.8%, while Ras Al Khaimah Cement Company (RAK Cement) topped the green zone with 3.7%.

Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat) posted the highest trading volume of AED 29.16 million, while Aldar Properties recorded the highest turnover of 7.07 million shares.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) led the losing blue chips with 1.09%, while Dana Gas headed the rising blue chips with 3.64%.
