ADX closes Tuesday in red zone

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Tuesday’s trading lower for the fifth session in a row.

The index lost 0.79% or 35.56 points to close at 4,455.73 points.

The market’s turnover grew to AED 199.86 million on Tuesday from AED 160.35 million in the previous session, after 98.22 million shares were exchanged from 102.72 million.

The energy segment retreated 3.66%, dragged by Dana Gas which lost 4.41%.

Meanwhile, the telecom sector gained 0.29% in line with Etisalat's stock which posted the same rise.

ADNH was the most active stock on which 18.21 million shares were traded at a value of AED 56.6 million, falling 1.28%.
