ADX closes Tuesday near stable

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the green, pushed by selective purchases on blue-chip stocks.

The main index inched up 0.01%, or 0.57 points, finishing the mid-week session at 5,076.03 points.

The DFM’s turnover amounted to AED 259.90 million on Tuesday after 76.07 million shares were exchanged through 2,009 transactions.

The investment sector topped risers with 1.69% as Gulf Investments grew 12.07%, while the industrial sector advanced 1.20% on the back of Gulf Cement Company’s 6.06% increase.

Meanwhile, the real estate sector headed the losers after falling 0.96%, followed by the energy and banks sectors with 0.60% and 0.06%, respectively.
