ADX closes Tuesday’s session with negative performance

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Tuesday’s trading session down by 0.89% or 45.08 points, closing at the level of 5,046.20 points.

The turnover recorded AED 506.06 million after 76.97 million shares were exchanged through 2,483 transactions.

The market cap value plunged by AED 4.41 billion to AED 515.97 billion when compared to AED 520.38 billion on Monday.

The telecom sector was down by 1.68%, while the energy sector was the only riser with 1.29%.

Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Co topped the decliners with 9.88%, while Abu Dhabi Ship Building was the top gainer with 10.5%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) achieved the highest turnover of AED 215.29 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock through the exchange of 20.25 million shares.

As regards the blue chips, Aldar Properties was down by 3.06%, while Dana Gas rose by 2.22%.
