Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday’s trading session in the green zone, backed by the rise of banks and telecom stocks.
The general index rose 0.41% or 18.11 points to reach 4,449.68 points.
The market generated AED 13.91million from the exchange of 56.1 million shares.
The consumer staples sector topped gainers with a 2.67% rise as Agthia increased 3.5%.
The banks sector rose 0.8% after First Abu Dhabi Bank and National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) levelled up 1.43% and 9.67%, respectively.
The telecom sector added 0.29% as Etisalat increased 0.29%.
On the other hand, the energy sector fell 1.24% after Dana retreated 1.49%.
The real estate sector sank 0.11% as Manazel Real Estate decreased 1.89%.
Aldar Properties was the value leader after generating AED 30.27 million from the exchange of 13.17 million shares.
