ADX closes Wednesday in green

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a slight rise on Wednesday, spurred by the growth of the telecom and real estate sectors.

The main index rose 0.02% or 0.87 points to reach 4,409.53 points.

Trading volume reached 78.29 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 30 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover amounted to AED 153.66 million, compared to AED 63.27 million.

The telecom sector increased 1.14% as Etisalat went up 1.14% and was the value leader with a turnover of AED 25.53 million.

The real estate sector levelled up 1.07% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties climbed 2.13% and 0.86%, respectively.

On the other hand, the energy sector fell 1.2% after Dana Gas declined 1.45%.

The banks sector levelled down 0.58% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Abu Dhabi Bank slid 0.9% and 0.49%, respectively.
