Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday’s session 1.56% or 74.76 points higher at 4,866.16 points.
ADX’s turnover amounted to AED 111.298 million after 30.63 million shares were exchanged through 1,311 transactions.
The banking segment added 2.24% in line with the 3.33% increase of FAB; the real estate sector rose by 1.32%, backed by Aldar Properties which gained 1.16%; and the telecom instrument went up 0.91% in line with the rise of Etisalat stock at the same percentage.
Meanwhile, the energy sector retreated by 1.61%, dragged by Dana Gas and TAQA which lost 2.55% and 1.18%, respectively.
