Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Wednesday’s trading session in negative territory, for the second session in a row, pressured by the banks, consumer staples and insurance sectors.
The general index inched down 0.02%, closing the session at 4,982.62 points.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 21.38 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 139.44 million through 1,283 transactions.
The banks sector topped losers with 0.24% after Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) dipped 0.95%, while the consumer staples sector went down 1.37% as Agthia plunged 2.51%.
On the other hand, the energy sector headed gainers, adding 2.75% as Dana Gas rose 4.99%.
