ADX closes Wednesday on marginal losses

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) inched down by 0.02% or 1.01 points to 4,331.27 points by the end of Wednesday's trading session, keeping its downward performance for the third consecutive session.

The market cap value declined by AED 500 million to AED 486.78 billion, compared to 487.28 billion during the previous session.

Turnover amounted to AED 142.75 million after 37.40 million shares had been traded through 1,477 transactions.

The telecommunications sector headed the losers with 0.73%, while the energy segment came on top of the gainers with 0.46%.

 Methaq Takaful Insurance topped the red zone with 4.74%, while Commercial Bank International (CBI) led the green zone with 6.69%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) posted the highest turnover of AED 48.62 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock with 10.86 million shares.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) topped the losing blue chips with 1.58%, while Dana Gas led the rising blue chips with 1.54%.
