ADX closes Wednesday's session in red

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) dropped by 2% or 82.27 points to 4,021.55 points by the end of Wednesday's trading session, reversing its upward performance on Tuesday

The market cap value decreased by AED 8.35 billion to AED 448.86 billion, compared to AED 457.21 billion during the previous session.

Turnover amounted to AED 122.04 million after around 33.94 million shares had been traded through 1,933 transactions.

The telecommunications sector hit the top of the decliners with 2.41%, while the energy segment led the risers with 1.10%.

Ras Al Khaimah Ceramics (RAK Ceramics) headed the red zone with 4.73%, while Arkan Building Materials Company topped the green zone with 6.14%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) recorded the highest turnover of AED 27.72 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock with 6.53 million traded shares.

Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat) headed the declining blue chips with 2.41%, while Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) led the rising blue chips with 0.72%.
