ADX closes higher Wednesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reversed the downtrend it maintained for two sessions on Wednesday, amid a decline in trades.

The main index rose 0.03% or 1.4 points to reach 4,265.83 points.

The banks sector advanced 1.05% as First Gulf Bank (FGB) went up 2.84%. The bank’s stock was the value leader after generating AED 21.88 million rose 2.84%. 

On the flipside, the energy sector declined 2.8% as Dana Gas fell 3.6%. The real estate sector decreased 1.79% after Aldar Properties slid 2.23%.

The telecom sector sank1.02% as Etisalat retreated 1.05%.

Turnover reached AED 73.24 million on Wednesday, compared to AED 125.83 million on Tuesday. Trading volume stood at 44.57 million shares, compared to 79.56 million shares.
