ADX closes in green Wednesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index went up 1.11%, or 47.32 points, to 4,310.94 points on Wednesday. 

The banks sector rose 1.52% after Invest Bank, Union National Bank (UNB), First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), and Sharjah Islamic Bank, gained 2.88%, 2.85%, 1.98%, 2.88%, and 0.73%, respectively.

The telecommunication sector and its only stock Etisalat levelled up 1.23%, each.

The real estate sector inched up 0.09%, pushed up by Aldar Properties, which added 0.46%.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 54.7 million shares from 50 million shares on Tuesday, while the market’s turnover grew to AED 109.4 million, compared to AED 101 million in the previous session. 

Dana Gas topped the market in terms of volume, with 24.7 million traded shares, while FAB was the most-actively traded stock in terms of liquidity, generating AED 29.9 million through 192 transactions.
