Abu Dhab-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) erased its early gains on Monday, dragged down by the fall of energy and banks stocks.
The main index fell 0.1% or 4.6 points to reach 4,495.13 points.
The energy sector led losers after declining 0.4%, weighed down by TAQA which slid 1.85%.
The banks sector retreated 0.21% as Sharjah Islamic Bank and First Gulf Bank (FGB) fell 1.9% and 0.4% respectively.
The real estate sector decreased 0.13% after Eshraq Properties slid 1.25%. However, Eshraq was the most active stock after trading 23.78 million shares, with a turnover of AED 18.99 million.
Turnover stood at AED 88.44 million on Monday, compared to AED 68.78 million. Trading volume reached 61.92 million shares, compared to 54.44 million shares.
