Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed in the red on Thursday, pressured down by the fall of the energy, banks and telecom sectors.
The general index levelled down 0.49% or 22.54 points to close at 4,589.84 points.
Trading volume stood at 87.72 million shares on Thursday, compared to 120.11 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 182 million, compared to AED 248.75 million.
The energy sector led losers after falling 1.35% as Dana Gas slipped 1.67%.
The banks sector slid 0.8% after National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) declined 1.99% and 1.22% respectively. Likewise, the telecom sector decreased 0.25% as Etisalat lost 0.25%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector went up 0.04% after Aldar Poperties gained 0.34% and was the value leader after generating AED 60.11 million.
